Birthday indecision

Kris' birthday is in two weeks. i've asked him what he wants, and he says he wants for me to not buy him anything, but as we didn't get any gifts for Valentine's, i'm not going to go two gift holidays with no gifts! So i'm trying to decide what to get for him.

i know of Xbox games that he wants, but they are all still $60 and i don't have that kind of cash. i'd get him a movie, but i'm tired of getting him movies. Plus, he wants so many and i want to punish him for holding me hostage in Best Buy for hours at a time in the movie section.

i already got him a bowling ball and shoes, and he bought a bowling bag already, so bowling is pretty much covered.

i'm considering getting him Heroes season 1 on dvd. (Which is different than buying him a movie because it's many more hours than a movie, plus, i like it too.)

i'm still trying to think of something to get him that will make him go "Yay!" Let me know if you think of any suggestions!

Every other year I get Derek one of those toy rockets that can be shot off in a soccer field or something. It takes him back to his childhood, plus he can do this with his sons. They are about 20-25 dollars. Just a suggestion. Or you could get him a pass to Pump it Up in Burnsville. They have toddler drop in Tues through Fri from 10-11:30 am. They have inflatable bounce houses, giant slide ect and parents can play WITH their kids. He and David might really like it. Just a thought.

No suggestions here! I feel the same way about my hubby's birthday. I never know what to get him. Maybe just a date night is good ... dinner, movie, etc. I know kinda boring, but you can make it a little fun. Be creative if you have the energy.

Something cheapish... get a couple of tickets to a Twins game. General admin is still $7 or something like that...

ugh! gift-giving is SOOOO hard for me.

This won't help you now, but for the future...

I try to pay attention when someone tells me something they want anytime during the year. When a holiday comes around, if they still don't have it, I've got an instant winner.

It's hard to develop this habit, but worth it when it's shopping time.
