Shoutout

i just wanted to put out a post in honor of Kris' brother's band, Epicurean. They are an incredible dark metal band and have been signed to Metal Blade Records. (Metal Blade was the original record company for Metallica, and has also given a voice to incredible bands like As I lay Dying, GWAR, and Cradle of Filth, one of my favorite metal bands.)
Their cds are sold on ITunes and at Best Buy, and they are on a national tour that is going really well.

My brother-in-law, John, is the fabulous drummer and the sole original member since he and some friends started the band 10 (?) years ago. Now it's morphed into what it is today, a successful and soon-to-be gigantic hit metal band.

i'm also proud to say on new year's of 2004 i played keyboards for them at the Quest. Someday that will be a big deal for me to say that i once played a gig with Epicurean:)

Bet ya didn't know that i heart metal, huh? In fact, the second song we played for David in utero was "Progenies of the Great Apocalypse" by Dimmu Borgir.
